Apoteket is the national pharmaceuticals retailing monopoly in Sweden. Apoteket AB, formerly Apoteksbolaget, is a government owned enterprise reporting to the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs.
The general agreement with Apoteket is valid for two years and covers services within the areas of business analysis, strategies, project management, system development, application management, technique as well as operations and support.
Apoteket´s general agreement is expected to turn over 200 million Swedish crowns and TietoEnator is one of six companies selected as supplier of nation wide services.
Apoteket has previously had many suppliers of IT services but this procurement reduces the number of suppliers and this means, among other factors, lower costs for Apoteket.
