Encyclopedia > Appam

Appam is a dish made from rice powder. The rise power is mixed with water, made into circular shape which is then fried in oil till the color changes from white to slight golden brown. It is usually taken with chatni (side dish) made generally from chilli, tomato, onion. Other ingradients vary.
