Aquino is a small town in the south-central Italian province of Frosinone, in the Lazio region. Its forerunner, the Roman town of Aquinum, is located nearby along the ancient Via Latina. Aquino/Aquinum is known as the home of the poet Juvenal. St. Thomas Aquinas (Thomas of Aquino) was born in the village of Roccasecca nearby.
