In Marvel Comics Araki is the prime minister of the imperial Shi'ar and the Lord Chancellor to the the empress, who is currently Lilandra. Araki defended the shi'ar throne against an impending coup, this event cos him his life at the hands of the rebels leader. This was not the end of Araki. Lilandra valued his services to the empire so much that she had him cloned using advanced shi'ar technology, she had his consciousness transferred into his new body. The Shiar, also called the Aerie, are a fictional species of aliens in the Marvel Comics universe. ... Lilandra is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. ... A coup détat, or simply a coup, is the sudden overthrow of a government, usually done by a small group that just replaces the top power figures. ... Following this Araki found himself as somewhat of an easy target as far as enemies of the empire were concerned. Araki was never a fighter and was consequantly killed a further four times, each time ressurected again by Lilandra.


Apon his fifth reincarnation he discovered that Lilandra was possessed by Xaviers unborn twin Cassandra Nova. He intervened before Nova's request to kill the X-men reached the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. The Guardian heard of Araki's betrayal to "Lilandra" and was forced to kill him by Cassandra Nova. This article is 150 kilobytes or more in size. ... Cassandra Nova is a supervillainess in the Marvel Universe, primarily associated with the X-Men. ... The X-Men are a group of comic book superheroes featured in Marvel Comics. ... Araki was not dead for long and when Lilandra regained control of her physcial body she had him resurrected a sixth time. She considers him a valuable help.
