Arc is a live album by Neil Young that was originally released in a special edition package with live album Weld. Arc contains only one track comprised of a compilation of sounds that appeared throughout the live show. The sounds came from feedback, rumblings of guitar, and vocal fragments performed at the beginning and end of songs. Sonic Youth opened for Neil Young during the Weld tour, and Arc mirrors their style of avant-garde noise rock, the develpment of their approach influenced in part by Young's style of guitar on recordings such as Rust Never Sleeps and Live Rust.
