Arcade Racer was a steering wheel type of joystick for the Sega Saturn video game console, helpful when playing racing games. Unlike most steering wheel controllers which are digital, the Arcade Racer is analog. This gives the controller a smoother response. An arcade cabinet, also known as an arcade machine or coin-op, is the housing within which an arcade game's hardware resides.
Controls are most commonly a joystick for as many players as the game allows, plus action buttons and "player" buttons which serve the same purpose as the start button on console gamepads.
