Arcola is a village located in Dade County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 45.

Geography

Arcola is located at 37°32'56" North, 93°52'30" West (37.549000, _93.874932)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 45 people, 23 households, and 12 families residing in the village. The population density is 59.9/km² (155.0/mi²). There are 31 housing units at an average density of 41.3/km² (106.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 23 households out of which 21.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.5% are married couples living together, 4.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 47.8% are non-families. 43.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 39.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.96 and the average family size is 2.67.
