Ardooie is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Ardooie proper and Koolskamp. On January 1st, 2004 Ardooie had a total population of 9,254 (4,656 males and 4,598 females). The total area is 34.58 kmē which gives a population density of 267.64 inhabitants per kmē.

The rural municipality of Ardooie (9,275 ihnabitants) is located in the "heart" of the province of West Flanders, 7 km of Roeselare and Izegem and 10 km of Tielt.
The current municipal coat of arms of Ardooie was adopted by Ministerial decree on 7 May 1985.
Ardooie was granted its first coat of arms by the Dutch government in1816.
