In 1999 he received the Prize of the Mex-Am Foundation for Artistic Residences in Vermont Studio Center, USA, in 2000 the Prize of the XX Young Art National Reunion in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and the Prize of the First National Biennial of Engraving "Rufino Tamayo" in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Among his many solo exhibitions in Mexico and other countries are: in 2002 one for the Abel fur Neue Kunst Gallery in Berlin, Germany, and in the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France.
