  Results from FactBites:

HQE (eco-building) and Sustainable Urban Renewal (772 words)
ARENE assisted the Regional Council with the first implementation in France of the "HQE" (high environmental quality) approach to building a secondary school, the “Collège Maximilien Perret” (architect Maximiliano Fuksas), in Alfortville in 1997.
This service, proposed and paid for in full by ARENE, assigns 3 experts to the contracting authority for one half day to give their opinions to it: an architect, a heat engineer and an economist demonstrate the feasibility of the eco-building project and the importance of environmental management system procedures.
The aim of that survey was to present the overall reduction in environmental impacts, the economic benefits on energy, waste, water, and greenhouse gas emission, and the job creation that would result from individual eco-building initiatives spreading in the period leading up to 2010.
Arene Chromium Complexes: Heterocyclic Chiral Auxiliaries and Synthetic Targets (2317 words)
Since the faces of the arene in the complex are no longer equivalent, reactions occur either on the face opposite to the metal (exo) or on the same face as the metal (endo).
The ortho-regioselectivity is thought to be the result of a combination of the electron-withdrawing effect of the arene substituent and the ability of the nitrogen lone pair to coordinate the incoming organolithium reagent.
It shows that the metal arene bond can indeed be conserved in the aromatic substitution and used in subsequent metal activated transformations.
