From Elderscrolls.com: Little is known and less is understood about the reptilian denizens of Black Marsh. Years of defending their borders have made the Argonians experts in guerrilla warfare, and their natural abilities make them equally at home in water and on land. They are well-suited for the treacherous swamps of their homeland, and have developed natural immunities to the diseases and poisons that have doomed many would-be explorers into the region. Their seemingly expressionless faces bely a calm intelligence, and many Argonians are well-versed in the magical arts. Others rely on stealth or steel to survive, and their natural agility makes them adept at either. They are, in general, a reserved people, slow to trust and hard to know. Yet they are fiercely loyal, and will fight to the death for those they have named as friends. Black Marsh is a region of the fictional Empire of Tamriel featured in the Elder Scrolls RPG series. ... Unfortunately for the Argonians, the very traits that enabled them to survive so well in the swamps of their homelands also make them ideal slaves for hard labour in regions of the Empire that would prove uninhabitable to the other races in Morrowind. They are commonly enslaved along with the Khajiit in Morrowind; although slavery itself is illegal in the Empire, Morrowind as part of the conditions of surrender to the Empire, is able to use a different set of laws. The Argonians have no deities, but instead worship the revered Hist; it is unclear as to what the Hist actually are, however. Some references point towards the Hist being a different breed of Argonians that are ugly, frail, yet intelligent. Other sources imply that the Hist is a type of ancient, semi-sentient tree considered sacred by the Argonians, and that the tree secretes a type of sap-like resin that hardens and when molded can make ideal armor. Indeed, it appears that there are many different breeds of Argonians; when compared, the Argonians from the previous games (Arena, Daggerfall, and Redguard) along with the upcoming sequel (Oblivion) seem drastically different. The Arena Argonians were merely gray humans with small, black eyes and hair ranging from blue-green to bright red. It is speculated that the Arena Argonians weren't Argonians at all, but rather the Kothringi Tribesmen, a rumored hybrid race of Nords and Argonians, the only other sentient race to survive in Argonia and thus technically Argonians themselves (being residents of Argonia). The Daggerfall Argonians, while more closely resemblant to the Morrowind breed, were still of human body structure, but had serpentine tails, lizard-like faces, dull green skin and lime-colored ventral scales. The Redguard Argonians were basically stocky-looking Morrowind Argonians, and the Oblivion Argonians can be best described as a cross between the Daggerfall Argonians and Trandoshans, standing completely upright, rather blunt-faced, and reddish in color - though it's likely the increased character customisation in Oblivion will mean that we'll see some quite different looking Argonians. While it is possible that the Argonian species underwent rapid and radical evolutionary changes between each game (set around 10 - 30 year apart), it is much more likely that the different types of Argonians are simply different strains of the same Argonian race - of course, a highly likely, meta-game, "real-life" explanation is that the developers simply altered the appearance of Argonians with each game, as graphics technology advanced, resulting in more options when creating the different races. The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard is an action-adventure game in a third person style reminiscent of the Tomb Raider games, set in the world of The Elder Scrolls. ... While Argonians appear reptilian in nature at first glance, they also exhibit fish- and amphibian-like qualities, such as being able to breath underwater, having small gills behind their ears, and, in Morrowind, swimming using the same body mechanism as that of a tadpole or eel, waving its tail side-to-side to propel itself through the water. Suggestions:

As an Argonian, you can see that many paths can be taken. It is suggested that if you decide to play as an Argonian, to take both the path of Magic and the path of Combat. This may require that you make a personalized class, but overall, choosing both will guarantee both action and loot. A Magical path alone will be difficult, due to the fact that Argonians are only slightly proficient in 2 schools of real magic and Alchemy, which is not recognized by the Great House Telvanni. The life of the Warrior is ideal for Argonians, with bonuses to Athletics, Medium Armor and Spear, which are recognized by the Great House Redoran, which offer great quests. Ultimately, it is recomended you go with the Great House Redoran and the Mages Guild (Wikiless).

And I'd guess it's more so for Argonians, because they don't need to hold their breath while underwater.
Argonians are supposed to have a 'natural calling' to the waters and the marsh, espically so since she came from Black Marsh.
If you welcome some constructive criticism, I would have to say that sometimes, the character doesn't 'feel' like an Argonian, but could be substituted for another of the 'human' races.
