 | It will provide science teachers and those whoaspire to careers in science teaching with a live, modern and well-equippedlaboratory where their teaching skills will be sharpened, updated andactualized in a way that is not possible in the public school settings. |
| The center willhouse science and technology laboratories in four major areas: physics,chemistry and biology, with computer science serving as a common thread thatunites these fundamental areas of science through computer literacy applied toquantitative analysis of data, mathematical modeling and networking to nationaland international knowledge sources. |
| Science education in the ASSC begins with the retraining of scienceschool teachers (in the Center itself) and ends with the image that thecenter projects: It tells the students who come to the facility that theydeserve the very best that science education has to offer. |
