Arjeplog Lapland Court District, or Arjeplogs lappmarks tingslag, was a district of Laponia in Sweden. The provinces in Norrland were never divided into hundreds and instead the court district (tingslag) served as the basic division of rural areas. The court districts of Laponia held the special designation as Lapland court districts (lappmarks tingslag).
In 1809 the eastern part was ceded by Russia, which in effect created a Swedish Lapland and Finnish Lapland.
Lapp is the old name of the native Sami people and Lapland is the commonly used name of their habitat, covering the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
