This man's rise to fame has been meteoric. He has proved himself to be an able leader and being young has a very good feets on the ground appraoch. His election to the post of CM of the state was accidental and more a case of deductive logic than selective. Since all the eminent elected members of the state at that point in time in March 2003 had a criminal record behind them. This man became the only remaining alternative for a BJP gvernment that did not have much of a choice amongst the state elected memebers.

Hence by a good bit of luck the man from a place called Kharaswan , close to Jamshedpur which in past has been more known as a princely state being ruled over the centuries by the Singh Deo dynasty of Singhbhum made his way into the annals of history as the tribal leader of the state.

Being close to the roots, there was a good amount of aspiration that had been built into the minds of the newly created state from thier newly elected CM. But nothing much has come their way over the last couple of years. The CM is now known only for his big promises which have largely been unfulfilled and some few odd foreign trips and couple more advcertisements he released in the newspapers across the country inviting peopel to invest in the state.

Moreoover mass corruption has crept in and BJP is now wondering whether it was a good idea to replace Babulal Marandi - who incidentally today has a much larger mass appeal than Arjun Munda. was a that good an idea at all.

Arjun Munda now seems to be on the end of his tenure which seems to be marked with confusion, avoidance and failed promises. It is only a matter of time when he goes into oblivision. Without a trace. But then a word of caution here - policitics is a strange animal.

The new age might see young dynamic leaders emerging who have been hitherto unknown. THe current crop of leaders needs to be uprooted from the core and thrown away to make this state a global superpower that it can be. It can be better than bombay in many ways than one.
