Battlemaster Tank
A Chinese Battlemaster Tank is Zero Hour The PLA main battle tank, the Battlemaster appears to be similar to the existing Type 59 tank. It comes with decent speed and a respectable rate of fire, as well as relatively good damage and armor. Battlemasters can be upgraded to use depleted uranium shells which have improved damage characteristics. They can also be upgraded to run on an internal nuclear reactor, which provides improved speed at the added danger of violently exploding upon death and damaging nearby allies. Large groups of Battlemasters receive a Horde bonus, which enables them to move and fire faster. Image File history File links China_Battlemaster_Tank_(C&CG). ...

Gatling Tank
A Chinese Gatling tank in Zero Hour A powerful special-purpose tank, the Gatling Tank is equipped with a large gatling gun that can easily deal with infantry and lightly-armoured vehicles. The tank is ill-suited to engaging enemy armour, but can bring down aircraft with great success. The weapon requires a few seconds to reach its full firing rate and can be upgraded to operate like a chain gun, which increases the damage they can deal by 25%. Dragon Tank
A Chinese Dragon Tank in Zero Hour A signature Chinese unit, the Dragon Tank is in many ways a spiritual successor to the Flame Tank of Command & Conquer. This unit engages opponents by firing a continuous stream of napalm at an enemy, and can be used to rapidly clear garrisoned buildings. Dragon Tanks can be upgraded to use black napalm, an improved version of the already potent incendiary agent. Image File history File links China_Dragon_Tank_(C&CG). ...

They can be ordered to create a firewall, which is essentially a wide arc of terrain that the Dragon Tank will continuously douse with napalm. This method is effective at handling grouped targets and can be used to implement scorched earth tactics, destroying clusters of buildings to prevent them from being garrisoned. A scorched earth policy is a military tactic which involves destroying anything that might be useful to the enemy while advancing through or withdrawing from an area. ...
Inferno Cannon
A Chinese Inferno Cannon in Zero Hour One of two artillery units available to the Chinese, the Inferno Cannon fires a napalm shell great distances and is effective against stationary targets. These vehicles are also slower than others, and their inability to engage targets in close-proximity, coupled with their difficulty in handling moving targets means that they require escorts on the battlefield. As with the Chinese MiG aircraft, enough Infero Cannons firing upon the same spot will turn the normal burning effect into a short-lived firestorm. Overlord Tank
A stansdard Chinese Overlord Tank in Zero Hour. A spiritual succsessor to the Mammoth Tank of both Command & Conquer and its prequel Red Alert, the Overlord Tank is deserving of its name. Easily twice the size of a normal tank, the lumbering Overlord is protected by thick layers of armour and bears not one but two main cannons, which can fire depleted uranium shells if the upgrade is purchased. The drive system can likewise be upgraded to use an onboard nuclear reactor, which improves the top speed by 25% and causes the tank to violently explode and leave residual radiation in the event of fatal damage. The turret is so big it can comfortably house one of three modules on its back to help increase the capabilities of the tank on the battlefield: - Bunker: A five-man bunker housed on the tank's back that allows the garrison within to fire on targets in safety.
- Gatling Cannon: A pair of gatling guns mounted on a coaxial turret on top of the main one. Grants the Overlord the ability to easily handle infantry and aircraft.
- Speaker Tower: A horn speaker array that broadcasts uplifting propaganda. Grants the tank and surrounding allies the ability to automatically regenerate from damage.

Nuclear Cannon
A Chinese Nuclear Cannon in Zero Hour Normally unavailable, the Nuclear Cannon requires a player to expend a General's point for the ability to build it. Nuclear cannons are slow-moving, fragile and have to deploy before firing, by make up for this by being able to lob fairly-powerful nuclear artillery shells a good distance. In Zero Hour, an upgrade can be purchased to allow for the option to fire tactical neutron shells that instantly kill infantry in the area. What is truly of note however, is the fact that the shells kill vehicle crews but do no damage whatsoever to the vehicles themselves, leaving them open for capture. Construction Dozer
A Chinese construction Dozer in Zero Hour Command & Conquer: Generals introduced a new group of middlemen responsible for all construction tasks for a given side. For the Chinese, this was the Construction Dozer, a large vehicle that resembles a bulldozer. In addition to their primary role as builders, they can repair structures damaged due to battle action, in effect taking over the responsibility of base repairs from the engineers and Construction Yards of past Command & Conquer games. The Construction Dozer also performs demining and bomb disposal tasks. Image File history File links China_Construction_Dozer_(C&CG). ...

Dozers are strictly a non-combat unit; they mount no weapon and therefore rely on others for defense. They are also slightly slow-moving, but can take a bit of damage before being rendered useless. The inclusion of this unit was also met with resistance from long-time C&C fans. Until the introduction of Generals and Zero Hour all building construction was handled from a Construction Yard, centralized construction being one of the cornerstones of the C&C games, and which allowed credits to be fully-divested on war units like tanks rather than having to include expenditure on relatively minor details like the Dozer. Many fans cited the introduction of the Dozer as one of the reasons why Generals and Zero Hour should not be considered "true" Command & Conquer games. While visually similar to the American Construction Dozer at a distance, the Chinese one can be distinguished by its caterpillar tracks. Caterpillar tracks are large (modular) tracks used on tanks, construction equipment and certain other off-road vehicles. ...
