The Army Group Royal Artillery was a British military formation type during World War II and shortly thereafter. It was, as its name suggests a field army level formation. Each AGRA mainly consisted of medium artillery regiments, but heavy regiments and field regiments were also allocated to them. They were flexible formations, being moved at need from corps to corps within an army.
The Royal Regiment of Artillery, generally known as the RoyalArtillery (RA), is, despite its name, a corps of the British Army.
On 1 July 1899, the RoyalArtillery was divided into three groups: the Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery comprised one group, while the coastal defence, mountain, siege and heavy batteries were split off into another group named the Royal Garrison Artillery.
In the RoyalArtillery, it equips 16 Regiment, and a battery of 106 Regiment RA(V).
