Arne Harris was best known for his work on WGN-TV broadcasts of the Chicago Cubs. He often peppered the broadcast with shots of pretty young girls, which caught the attention of many a male cub fan.

Arne Eldon Schmidt was born in Hollywood, Minn. on Oct. 25, 1933, to Edward and Clara (Biegler) Schmidt.
Arne loved the Lord; he was a wonderful servant, whenever asked to do something for church he was there and willing.
Arne also loved his flower gardens, he was master of beautiful flower arrangements, and he had done several weddings, supplied arrangements for all special occasions at church, birthdays, anniversaries and banquets as well at his daughterÂ’s funeral.
