He represented his party in the Folketing's Foreign Policy Committee 1994-2001, when he was forced to step down after having publicly defended Israel's use of moderate physical coercion on terror suspects. He was also forced to leave the Centre Democratic Parliamentary group - and the way he was treated by party leaders led to the complete collapse of the Party's vote at the General Election 2001 from which the Party has never recovered. The Danish Parliamentary Election of 2001 held on November 20, 2001 saw a dramatic change in the political composition of the Danish parliament or Folketing. ...
