Arrival is the fourth album by Swedish pop group ABBA, released in 1976 (see 1976 in music). Arrival has been reissued in digitally remastered form a total of five times; first in 1997, then in 2001, 2004, 2005 as part of the The Complete Studio Recordings box set, and again in 2006 (as a special Deluxe Edition). Upon its original 1976 release, "Fernando" did not appear on Arrival, but it was included on the Australian and New Zealand versions. "Fernando" remained unreleased on Arrival until the first remastered issue in 1997. The album also contains the group's biggest ever hit, "Dancing Queen", as well as other successful singles such as "Money, Money, Money" and "Knowing Me, Knowing You". Abba meanwhile were not standing still, and followed up Arrival with the more complex 1977 release, Abba - The Album, released to coincide with the feature film of their Australian tour, Abba - The Movie.
Despite a feeling that Abba were in decline, the band were still achieving huge audiences into the early 1980s, and might have continued indefinitely if it wasn't for the fact that on a personal level, the married members of the group were falling apart.
Abba were well known for their colourful costumes (the epitome of 1970s fashion), and also for the videos which accompanied some of their biggest hits -- these being among the earliest examples of the genre.
