Artek (Russian: Арте́к) was the All-Union and international Young Pioneer camp in the Soviet Union.
In East Germany the Ernst Thälmann Pioneer Organisation built a pioneer camp similar to Artek in 1952 at Werbellinsee north-east of Berlin.
At present, Artek belongs to Ukraine and is known as the "International Children's Center 'Artek' ".
