Arthur Rabens was the last remaining courier to carry out Stephen Saunder's biological attack on the United States, in Day 3. He knew he was being tracked by CTU, spotted a tracker beacon, and placed it inside some man's cigarette carton. Rabens escaped capture and hijacked a civilian vehicle where he then made it to a middle school to release the virus.


He engaged Chase in a fight, badly beating Chase. However, during the fight Chase managed to attach the dispersion device to his wrist in order to prevent Rabens from escaping with it. Arthur Rabens was shot and killed by Jack Bauer moments before he was about to kill Chase.
