In the fictional Star Trek universe, the Articles of Federation is the constitution of the United Federation of Planets. The Articles of Federation were signed and ratifed on Earth (after much negotiation, most of which took place on the planet Babel) by the Humans/Terrans, Vulcan, Andorian, and Tellarites governments in the year 2161.
