Artur Mas i Gavarró is a Catalan politician. He is currently the leader of the Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC), the main opposition party in the Catalan parliament.


Artur Mas ran for the last elections to the Catalan government and won a majority of seats in the parliament, with only 4 more than the second party, PSC. However, Pasqual Maragall i Mira was finally elected President, with the support of PSC and two more left_wing parties (ERC and ICV).
