Biography
Valenzuela was born in Chile and moved to the United States at the age of 16 in order to attend college. His studies focused on politics in Latin America, a field in which he is now a renowned expert. This expertise led to his appointment by Bill Clinton as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Inter-American Affairs in the United States Department of State during Clinton's first term.
