There is an abundance of rice growing in Asagiri which is in a rural area.[citation needed] There are 2 excellent onsens in the town. The most popular is called "Healthy Land" and is located in Ue. The other one, "Okaharu Onsen" is located in Okaharu. There is also a Karaoke Palace, Pachinko parlors, 2 supermarkets and a number of restaurants.
