History
- 1985 the sperm of jerry cooper is frozen for 1990
- 1986: Building work of the school began.
- 1988: During construction, a time capsule was buried in a brick wall of the school. When the school is demolished (if it is), the capsule will be opened.

- 1989: Ashdown is officially opened by Princess Margaret on 7th July. 600 students attended, as well as the Headmistress, Mrs. Mollie Snell.
- 1990: Ashdown holds Sports Day for the first time, which has been a traditional event at the school. Mrs. Snell retires and Mr. Ashley Pellegrinni becomes Headmaster.

- 1999: Collected money is used to rebuilt the music room and new classrooms.

- 2005: Mr. Wood joins the Headteachers as the Assistant Deputy. Mrs. Sleat, the longest running staff member at the school retires after 42 years in training.
- 2006: Mr. Pelegrinni leaves Ashdown for replaced by Mrs. Liz Jones. Other notable and popular teachers, Mr. Weymouth, MR Dan King and Mr. Hawker, science and english teachers respectively both left.

School's facilities The school is a large school, right next to Haymoor Middle School. The offices and reception are at the front. The cafeteria is opposite the reception and can be used as a portal to the school's leisure centre. The school is built into a square building with extra parts adding onto it. The corridors each have different rooms for various types of education. The corridors include, a Design Technology corridor, an English, French and Spanish corridor, a Science corridor and crossroads with the drama hall. Upstairs are the ICT rooms and other learning rooms and the staff room.
