Asia has remained a cradle of several civilizations. All the major religions of the modern world have originated in Asia. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated in India, a country of South Asia. In East Asia, Confucianism, Taoism, Zen Buddhism took shape, particularly in China and Japan. Zoroastrianism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism have also their origins in the soil of Asia. Such a special position of Asia has bestowed on the continent of Asia an aura of brilliance and has greatly influenced all dimensions of cultural life of Asia. All the major religions and several schools of thoughts and philosophies have their roots in Asia. Culture of Asia is the spirit of Asia.
