His Diários Associados was a network of communications media that dominated popular press in Brazil from the Getúlio Vargas era to the 1964 Revolution. He was a colourful character of high ideals, big ambitions and lacking character, also responsible for the creation of the São Paulo Art Museum. The Diários Associados, or Associated Dailies, are a federation of Brazilian communication media created by Assis Chatô Chateaubriand, who directed it in a personalist, authoritarian style. ...
