The surveys are usually restricted to one band of wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation (e.g. light or radio) or to measurements of the flux of one type of particle (e.g. cosmic rays). ROSAT X-Ray All-Sky Survey (RASS) was obtained during 1990/1991 using the ROSAT Position Sensitive Proportional Counter (PSPC) in combination with the ROSAT X-ray Telescope (XRT).
Using the VLA in B-configuration, we map the entire survey region at a resolution of 80'' and with an average rms noise of 0.1 Jy/beam.
