I guess deep down inside I was hoping Asuka would re-emerge into the world of Jpop, that her goodbye was only temporary, and that she'd have a chance to prove herself.
Her departure was at least part of the reason why Goto Maki joined was because Asuka left an opening in the group for co-lead with Natsumi Abe.
I also wonder why Asuka left Morning Musume so early, and choose this kind of carrer: But as far as I guess, she must be simply burn-out when she left Musume.
