The software supports three main functions:

Originally developed in the Summer of 1998, @Mail was one of the first commercial WebMail products available. . The software is referred to @Mail or Atmail, which has undergone four major revisions since the initial version. Calacode, the company that develops the software has offices based in Sydney, Australia and Idaho USA. The software was originally developed in Perl and has adopted PHP as the main language for future versions. Also, AtMail webmail interface is good, but it is one of the worst systems I have use: slow, with lots of problems and errors handling my email and, as some representatives here at EMD can comment, a really nightmare to be managed and to growth.
To be honest; Atmail really isn't suitable to do much of anything, especially not something as important as handling your email.
Some may consider it to be eye-candy, but trust me, the usability issues of the Atmail UI is something you don't wasn't to look at every day...
