Encyclopedia > Atomidine

Atomidine is an iodine substance referred to by the Cayce readings which is created using a modified detoxification process. This process adds an extra step in which electricity is run through the substance; the result is electrified atomic iodine, or "atomidine." General Name, Symbol, Number iodine, I, 53 Chemical series halogens Group, Period, Block 17, 5, p Appearance violet-dark gray, lustrous Atomic mass 126. ... Edgar Cayce (1877-1945; the surname is pronounced like Casey) is generally remembered as an American psychic who gave trance discourses on subjects like astrology, reincarnation, and Atlantis. ...

Atomidine is said to have amazing healing properties and a possible strong influence on the immune system. The electrification allows the atomidine to continue to function as an iodine suppliment—the original use of detoxified iodine—while also bestowing it with the added attributes that affect the immune system.. The immune system is the organ system that protects an organism from outside biological influences. ...

Atomidine is made in different ways by different manufacturers, each trying to interpret the Cayce readings as best they can. For example, two companies which make Atomidine are Baar and Cayce Concepts. The Baar product is 1% iodine-trichloride dissolved in water; while the Cayce Concepts product is 1% iodine dissolved in alcohol. Baar can refer to: Baar (Schwaben), a town in western Bavaria, Germany. ... Water (from the Old English word wæter; c. ... In general usage, alcohol (from Arabic al-khwl الكحول, or al-ghawl الغول) refers almost always to ethanol, also known as grain alcohol, and often to any beverage that contains ethanol (see alcoholic beverage). ...

The Cayce readings do not name the final compound specifically; however, they do mention that the result is dissolved in alcohol, and iodine must be combined with potassium or chlorine to be water soluble. Atomidine as iodine in alcohol is claimed to be more powerful than iodine-trichloride; however, iodine-trichloride is water soluble. This may indicate that Cayce specifically intended for the substance not to be a water soluble form of iodine. General Name, Symbol, Number potassium, K, 19 Chemical series alkali metals Group, Period, Block 1, 4, s Appearance silvery white Atomic mass 39. ... General Name, Symbol, Number chlorine, Cl, 17 Chemical series halogens Group, Period, Block 17, 3, p Appearance yellowish green Atomic mass 35. ...
