Attica was the first brand name produced by Bioplastic S.A., a company created in Moschato, Athens by Georgios Dimitriadis who became an important figure in Greek automotive history. Production started in 1963 of model '200', a light three-wheeler passenger car under licence of Fuldamobil of Germany. There were little changes from the original, but later two different cabriolet versions were developed by Attica. 200cc engines by Ilo, Sachs and Heinkel were used for different versions of the car. The model became very popular in Greece and is fondly remembered to this date. Another Greek company, Alta, introduced a similar vehicle in 1968 but in this case the original design was extensively modified. Model '200' was produced until 1972. In 1965 Attica introduced a four-wheel model, the 'Carmel 12', built under licence of Israeli Autocars (Sabra) company, which, in turn, had used British Reliant technology. In fact most parts were imported and it seems that only a few were actually built. In 1968 Bioplastic introduced a light three-wheeler truck brand named 'Delta', based on the Attica which had more success. An effort to build a Reliant design as the 'Acropolis 2000' did not lead to production, and Bioplastic ceased operations. In 1977 Dimitriadis created a new car company DIM Motor, to produce the DIM automobile.
