 | Auditioning students must perform excerpts from contrasting movements of a Class I solo from the Texas UIL Prescribed Music List or two etudes (one slow and one fast). |
| Auditioning students must prepare two contrasting sections or movements from a concerto, sonata, or equivalent piece that show contrasting musical style and tempo. |
| Auditioning students should have knowledge of the jazz idiom, perform a prepared piece as well as sight read music chosen by the directors. |
