Auerbach is a place in the Vogtlandkreis, Saxony, Germany. The city has a textile manufacturer and some factories a including the famous machine industry.


Auerbach was mentioned for the first time in 1282. The city was considered in the center of the eastern Vogtland.


Landmarks include the city, the towers of the St. Laurentius church, and the 43.9 m castle tower.
