Austin Kearns is a Major League Baseball player who wears number 28 plays right field for the Cincinnati Reds. He began his career with the team in 2002 and is currently their starting right fielder as of the close of the 2005 season. Kearns was born May 20, 1980 in Lexington, KY. He throws and bats right-handed and did not attend college. His 2005 salary was $930,000.
Two of the remaining bench positions are hinging on who wins the battle for the starting job in the first place.
Whoever does come out on top, we can be fairly sure that one of Rich Aurilia and Felipe Lopez, and one of Wily Mo Pena and AustinKearns will be riding the pine while their counterpart patrols the green.
For my money, the former of each pair should be the disappointed ones, but nearly any combination is possible.
