Austin Peralta is an American jazz pianist. He was born October 25, 1990, in Santa Monica, California. Austin was awarded the Shelly Manne New Talent Award by the Los Angeles Jazz Society and Flip Manne in 2003 at age 11. Austin has played with the Gerald Wilson Orchestra, has also performed at the Playboy Jazz Festival, the Jazz Baltica Festival, the Tokyo Jazz Festival, and has toured Japan. In September 2005, Austin recorded his debut album for Sony Japan/Village Records/88's entitled "Maiden Voyage" (Ron Carter- bass, Billy Kilson- drums). In October 2006, Austin recorded his second album for Village Records/88's entitled "Mantra" which is slated for a December 2006 release in Japan (Buster Williams-bass, Steve Nelson-vibes, Marcus Strickland-sax, Ronald Bruner Jr.-drums).
