Project Unity The AMC and the University of Tasmania, which shares the Newnham Campus, have established Project Unity. This project is examining the feasibility of integrating the two institutions with a working party established and a vision statement drafted. A Heads of Agreement was signed on October 16, 2006 and integration of the institutions is expected to commence on January 1, 2008 assuming the necessary legislation is obtained from the Federal and State Governments. The AMC is expected to retain its own identity and some autonomy as a separate institute within the University of Tasmania once the integration is complete.
