Academics

In addition to its more than 30 majors and programs, Averett students benefit from internships, study abroad and study trips. Location

Averett’s main campus is located in Danville, one of Virginia’s most beautiful historic neighborhoods. A 107-acre park, shopping center, a variety of churches, restaurants and a movie theater are located within easy walking distance of Averett. The Averett Cougars are a member of the NCAA Division III, USA South Athletic Conference. They have claimed recent conference championships in volleyball, men’s tennis and softball. Men’s golf and football are also strong conference contenders.
