History
Axel was born in the slums of Southtown, often having to fight his way out of trouble. This lead him to pursue a career in boxing, where he achieved both fame and wealth. But eventually his sponsors left him cold, and he lost his titles. He took on an apprentice (Michael Max) in an effort to reclaim his life via him, but this too ended in failure. Michael Max (ãã¤ã±ã«ã»ããã¯ã¹) is a video game character from the Fatal Fury fighting game series. ...
He turned to drinking and was all but totally washed up when he received the invitation from Wolfgang Krauser to compete in the King of Fighters tourney. Axel jumped at this chance and eagerly joined. Although he was defeated, Axel reclaimed his pride and some recognition for his fighting prowess. He now continues training both himself and others, remaining a kind yet tough fighter.
Trivia - Axel Hawk slightly resembles superheavyweight boxer Butterbean.
- Axel appeared in the anime Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle when he tries to bait drunken Terry into fighting him by having his sparring partner attack Tony. Terry, angered by this, knocks out Axel with one punch.
- Axel Hawk is a big fan of Heavy Metal music according to his bio.
- Axel Hawk is the only character in Fatal Fury 2/Special who cannot perform a throw move with the "strong punch" button. Strangely, both of his grappling moves are performed with the "strong kick" button (D).
- Axel Hawk's voice sample when he performs his Axel Dance (his pronunciation of "Bust you up!" comes close to "Fuck you up!"[citation needed]) was changed to "Mess you up!" for the SNES release of Fatal Fury Special due to censorship.
