Ayo Rock Formation (thumbnail)
Ayo Rock Formation on the island of Aruba. In the past, the Arowak indians used to inhabit this place, while putting their drawings on the rocks. The Arowak indians used to settle here, in order to hear incoming thunderstorms closing in on the island of Aruba. Therefore, the population of the Arowak indians were notified and prepared for the outcome.
Nowadays, the Ayo Rock Formation is considered a tourist site and well worth a visit when on the island.
