Etimology
(This section needs a better translation) The name Aysen, has an indigenous origin, and comes from the Huilliche word "Achen" that means "to crumble". Another theory explains that it was a term used by the Culture of Chonos, whose meaning is "going more to the interior", thus responding to the natural configuration of the Fiord of Aysen, that, seen from the coast of the Moraleda strait, is like a piece of sea that enters deeply into the territory with direction to the orient. The physical relation between Culture of Huilliches and Culture of Chonos is a signal of the name's origin. Huillice is an Araucanian language spoken in Chile. ...
