Encyclopedia > Azama Myuu

Myū Azama (安座間 美優, b. December 26, 1986) is an idol actress in Japan. At 169cm, she is a tall girl by Japanese standards.

Her first internationally_noticed role is as the amazonian Sailor Senshi of courage and thunder, Sailor Jupiter in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.

Trivia

  • Azama is thought of by her co-stars in Sailor Moon as highly girlish and demure, the opposite of her forthright and tomboyish character.
  • Azama signs her name "Mew," using Roman characters. She explains it in her profile (http://mew.fan-club.ne.jp/scripts/multi/index.php?type=prf):

美優の読み方は、「みゅう」です。ja:小泉今日子さんの名曲、「夜明けのMEW」から命名されました。だから表記も、「MEW」なのです。
"美優 is read Myū. I was named from Koizumi Kyoko's famous song 'MEW of dawn'. So, the inscription is also MEW"
