EAST LONDON -- A former AzanianPeoples' LiberationArmy (Apla) cadre told the TRC's amnesty committee here yesterday that the killing of Elliot farmer Mike Meyers had been "accidental" as the original plan was to kidnap him and hand him to an Apla commander for interrogation on his Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) connections.
