Azeban is a lower-level trickster spirit in Abenaki mythology. The traditional homeland of the Abenaki is Wobanakik (Place of the Dawn), what is now called Northern New England and Southern Quebec. In the study of mythology, folklore and religion, a trickster is a god, goddess, spirit, human hero or anthropomorphic animal who breaks the rules of the gods or nature, sometimes maliciously (for example, Loki) but usually with ultimately positive effects. ... The Abenaki (also Wabanaki) are a Native American tribe located in the northeastern United States. ... While the states marked in red show the core of New England, the regions cultural influence may cover a greater or lesser area than shown. ... Beginning in 1963, a terrorist group that became known as the Front de libération du Québec (FLQ) launched a decade of bombings, robberies and attacks on government offices and at least two murders by FLQ gunfire and three violent deaths by bombings. ...

Azeban is one of a litter of six born to Awasosqua (Bear Woman). The others are Awasosis (Little Bear), Kwaniwibid (Long Tooth), Mikwe (Squirrel), Moosis (Little Moose) and Soksemo (Good Nose). All the spirits in Awasosqua's broods are dogs, and are named after their characteristics.

Throughout the run, Azeban would refuse to distribute water/food (fine, mages hate doing that, I hate asking anyways) and wouldn't give Arcane Intelligence to anyone in the group.
Azeban and Aratta both said they were ignorant of the fact that when you loot a cache, there is no greed/need roll on the item.
