B.Tech is the short form for Bachelor of Technology. This is a five year degree course in Engineering at the IITs' (Indian Institutes of Technology) leading to a B. Tech. degree.
Bachelor of Technology is an undergraduate academic degree conferred after completion of a three or four year program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university-degree level college in The Commonwealth countries, Norway, Republic of Ireland, the United States, and other countries.
The degree is awarded to those who have undertaken a Bachelor of Sciencedegree program supplemented by either occupational placements (e.g., supervised practica or internships) or practice-based classroom courses.
