It first launched in Asia, replacing BBC Prime on StarHub (Channel 76) in Singapore, TrueVisions (Channel 35) in Thailand, Skylife (Channel 334) in South Korea and Now TV (Channel 529) in Hong Kong on October 8, 2006. This was followed by Malaysia, where it was launched on Astro (Channel 26) on December 28, 2006, and India, where it was launched on Tata Sky on May 2, 2007. The first European version of the channel will be launched in December 2008 on Poland's Polsat platform. The channel will be lectored in Polish.
