It was based on a shortened version of the 502 saloon’s chassis. Its engine is a 3.2 litre pushrod-operated overhead valve aluminum block V8 with two Solex Zenith two-barrel carburettors, and initially delivered 150 bhp (later models produce 160bhp). The bodywork is light alloy. Top speed is 125mph and 0-60mph takes 8.8 seconds.


It began production in 1956. The 507 was produced in two runs; Series 1 and Series 2. The Series 2 cars had an updated dashboard and the rear bulkhead was moved back to provide more luggage space.
