What is known is especially its football department, whose first team in the Swiss Axpo Super League and so far eleven plays Swiss champion and six Swiss Cup. The year 1957 was YB as the first football club to the team of the year. YB International belongs to the most successful Swiss football clubs, 1959 stood at the semi-finals of the Europapokals the national champion.


The home games, the first football team's BSC Young Boys since 2005 at the Stade de Suisse, where once stood the Wankdorfstadion. The Young Boys Berne are among the best known and most traditional soccer clubs in Switzerland. Compared with other clubs, the Swiss BSC an active and loyal fan community and was a long-time membership of the association. YB has a large juniors department. The U21 (YB II) plays in the 1st League (third class game), and thus for them in the highest League.


Next, there is a hockey country, bowls and senior football section. The land department of women's hockey, also plays in the highest Swiss League.

History

1898 to 1902: The Founding

In 1897 learned the brothers Max and Oscar Schwab at the University of Bern and Franz Hermann Bauer Kehrli. In the 2001 to 2005 seasons Young Boys played at the Neufeldstadion, while the Wankdorf, venue of the finals of the FIFA World Cup 1954 and the European Cup of Champions in 1961, was being demolished and replaced with the new Stade de Suisse, Wankdorf, completed in the summer of 2005. Stadium

Since the year 2005 the city of Berne play at the Stade de Suisse Wankdorf Berne. The stadium can seat 31'783 spectators and is thus the second largest soccer stadium in Switzerland (after the St. Jakob-Park). The construction cost of 350 million francs and more than any other building in Switzerland. Officially, there are only the stadium seats, but the tickets in Fansektor than standing sold.

BSC Young Boys is a Swiss football club of the Swiss capital, Bern.
The FC Young Boys club was founded on 14 March 1898, taking its name in contrast to the existing club Old Boys Basel.
In the 2001 to 2005 seasons Young Boys played at the Neufeldstadion, while the Wankdorf was being demolished and replaced with the new Stade de Suisse, Wankdorf, completed in the summer of 2005.
