Synopsis

The film explores the life of an immature young adult named Jody, who still lives with his mother (Adrienne-Joi Johnson), spends all his time with his buddy Swee'Pea (Omar Gooding), and has no plans of moving ahead in life. He is forced to grow up some by a number of situations which present themselves, including his mother's new ex-con boyfriend (Ving Rhames) moving into their house, his two children (one by his current girlfriend), and his girlfriend's gangbanging ex-boyfriend (Snoop Dogg), who returns to the neighborhood to challenge Jody. Tupac Shakur was originally slated to play the star role, but he died before the film was made, and it was eventually filmed with Tyrese Gibson in his place.
